Second grade students take to the stage for one of the favorite events of the year: POETRY CAFE! Students in Mrs. Brock and Ms. Harper’s classrooms not only study different forms of poetry in Language Arts, they have the opportunity to select a poem and read it during Poetry Cafe! Picking a poem that spoke to them, they practiced and prepared, practicing presentation skills such as inflection and diction. They worked diligently to prepare for their poetry reading, and their hard work paid off! Family and friends were impressed with the poise demonstrated and delivery given by these young men and women. Well done, second grade!
