Catholic School

The mission of Espiritu Santo Catholic School, under the guiding gifts of the Holy Spirit, is to pass on the beliefs and teachings of the Roman Catholic Faith, to encourage students to reach out to others in a caring, Christian way, and to offer students an enriched, academic, Christ-centered education in a disciplined environment. For 15 years we have been teaching students from the early stages of life through their transitioning phases.

Early Childhood

At Espiritu Santo we know that a child’s first years are filled with wonder and awe. Our earliest  learners are given all of the tools and support they need to connect with their natural curiosity. Our Catholic school has created a curriculum for them that blends structure and exploration, in a way that will build a foundation for life-long learning. Students will:

  • Learn about their world through a variety of hands on activities
  • Discover their unique gifts and capabilities
  • Make friends as well as collaborate with others
  • Develop fine motor skills and gross motor skills
  • Discover and work on reading, writing, and numbers
  • Introduction to weekly lessons in “Essential” subjects: Spanish, Media, Physical Education, Music, and Art

This is the period of a child’s life where they grow in competence and confidence. At Espiritu Santo, our elementary Catholic school has a curriculum that focuses on the development of the whole child by creating a balance between academic fundamentals and creative explorations:

  • Learn fundamental concepts in math and science
  • Develop competence in reading and writing
  • Explore working both independently and collaboratively
  • Grow in their faith through worship, sacrament, and study
  • Weekly lessons in “Essential” subjects: Spanish, Media, Physical Education, Music, and Art

Our focus on faith development as well as service allows young elementary hearts towards a deeper relationship with God. This is also the period where we offer students First Holy Communion Preparation in Grade 2.

This is a time of transition that is both exciting and rewarding for young men and women attending Catholic school. Espiritu Santo gives them a curriculum that offers them the tools they need to learn and grow, as well as leadership and service opportunities that will prepare them for high school and years beyond. Our students are called to become scholars and servant leaders, making a positive impact in our communities by acting as reflections of Christ to others. Our middle school-aged students are encouraged to:

  • Model Christ-like behavior for younger students
  • Take on leadership roles within the Espiritu Santo and local community
  • Explore and integrate math concepts in pre-algebra and algebra
  • Expand their knowledge of the earth and physical science through both hands-on laboratory experience and Science Fair participation
  • Our Catholic school incorporates technology to facilitate learning
  • Enhance their education with “Essential” subjects: Spanish, Media, Physical Education, Music, and Art
  • Discover new skills during rotating “Elective” classes
