Nathan Nammour, Class of 2010

Near or far, no record was safe from the Belmont University runners on Saturday. Junior Nate Nammour and senior Matt Edwards combined to break three school men’s indoor track and field records on the second day of the Marshall Chipotle Invitational, powering the Bruins to a second-place finish with 110 team points.
Nammour blew past the school marks in both the 200 and 400 meters, while Edwards edged the Belmont record for the 3,000.
Nammour topped his own 400 record set a year ago at this same facility in 48.15 seconds to place first. He took third with a 22.17 in the 200, breaking a record that stood since Brandon Jarnigan ran a 22.21 in 2001. Nammour now owns the school marks in the 200 and 400 for both indoor and outdoor competition.
